How It Works
THE PROCESS
10 Minute Video Consultation
I will begin with a 10 minute video consultation, gratis. This can be scheduled here through the Calendly app and a confirmation email from me should follow. The video consultation will be conducted over Signal/WhatsApp.
Questionnaire
​I ask that the prospective parents thoughtfully complete and return my questionnaire, giving as much detail in their responses as possible, 32 hours before we meet for the in depth video discussion.
In Depth Discussion
​When we decide to move forward, we will schedule an in depth discussion, usually within the next 7 business days, at which time the consultation fee of $350 will be due. This fee is payable via PayPal through the website. If for any reason an appointment needs to be canceled, please provide 24 hours of notice. The client may easily reschedule using the Calendly app.

The in depth discussion lasts about 40 minutes. We will review the questionnaire in full, and then I will address any questions. Together, we will define the parameters of the search and requirements of the name options.
Research & Study
​Over the subsequent three weeks, I will research and study a variety of resources to compile a list of names that fulfill the requirements. These resources will include census records, government property records, Ancestry.com, and online forums. From there, I will consider them carefully and narrow them down to a short list of three. I will also write a report of these three recommended name options, which will be the final result of the consultation and my research.
Report
I will prepare a PDF with three name recommendations, including the name’s origin and the reason for my recommendation. These recommendations will be based on the parents’ questionnaire and the 40 minute discussion.
The report will be delivered in PDF format via email three weeks following the in depth discussion.
TERMS OF SERVICE
The aforementioned are the basic terms of service. The service is to provide recommendations for a first name, and is by nature subjective. If these recommendations are not ultimately used, the client does not have a claim for reimbursement. If a client does not comply with these terms, he/she/they forfeit any claim and/or right to a reimbursement of the fee. If for any reason an appointment needs to be canceled, please provide 24 hours of notice. The client may easily reschedule using the Calendly app. If less than 24 hours of notice, there will be a nominal cancellation fee. If a client fails to notify cancellation and fails to attend the appointment, he/she/they forfeit any right to a reimbursement of the fee. There is a 15 minute grace period if a client is running late, but would still like to keep the appointment. That will truncate the time of the consultation, as the end time of the appointment would not change. Clients are asked to please communicate any changes in their schedule with Miss Pounds.
